How to Commission a Piece
Every commission begins with a story. Whether it’s something you’ve found, something you remember, or something you’d like to create from scratch, we’ll shape it together into a piece of wearable art.
1. Choose your path
Once Found – for keepsakes waiting to become treasure. I transform a small object you already own into a piece of jewellery that carries your story.
Once Told – for memories that want to be retold in resin and silver. A bespoke miniature world made just for you.
Once Created – for ideas ready to become heirlooms. A fine jewellery commission, designed and hand-made from scratch, often reusing your sentimental gold or stones.
(Not sure which fits? Don’t worry, your story usually decides that for you.)2. Tell me your story
Use the form below to share what you’d like to create, a person, a memory, a place, or an object that matters. Add a photo if you like. I’ll reply with a few thoughts or questions to help clarify what’s possible.3. Design & quote
Once we’ve discussed your idea, I’ll prepare a design proposal outlining the concept, materials, and estimated cost.
A £100 design fee is required at this stage. It covers the time, expertise, and creative development that go into shaping your idea.
If you decide to go ahead, the fee is deducted from the final commission price. A 50% deposit is then required to secure your commission slot, with the balance due on completion.4. Making your piece
Where possible, everything is made in-house, from wax carving and silverwork to the final resin pour. For specialist stages like casting and hallmarking, I work with trusted partners who meet the same high standards. You’ll receive updates as your story takes shape.5. Delivery
Your finished piece will arrive beautifully packaged with a handwritten story card and full hallmarking details, ready to keep or to gift. Lead times vary depending on the design and the time of year, but most commissions take between 4 and 8 weeks from design approval to completion. If you have a specific deadline in mind, just let me know early on and I’ll do my best to work around it.
