“I Wish I Were a Mermaid” Peacock Pearl Necklace — Sterling Silver & Pearl
Some pieces come home for a reason.
This one-of-a-kind necklace was originally made for me and has been part of my own collection for years. Rather than leave her exactly as she was, I decided it was time for a little glow up before sending her off to find her next home.
A beautiful silver mermaid sits on top of a magnificent peacock baroque pearl, suspended from an oxidised sterling silver chain with hand-knotted peacock pearls, threaded onto hand-dyed magenta pearl silk.
The necklace is finished with a sterling silver T-bar clasp and a hand-stamped silver tag reading:
"I WISH I WERE A MERMAID"
Because I suspect I'm not the only one who's occasionally wished for a tail.
